"...Stupid human."

Poor ol' Zim's come home to relax and get clean of all the Earth FILTH after a really, really bad day. (Heh, guess who's to blame?)

With the consideration of Zim being intolerant of water, and 'cleansing chalk' seeming pretty impractical for the entire body, including electronics (his pak), I settled on borrowing an idea from Star Trek: namely, the sonic showers. I've got no idea if the ST sonic showers actually used water, or steam, or what, but obviously, Zim's is water-free, and instead just whisks away any and all filth.

This idea came outta nowhere about two days ago. I still can't believe I managed it - it's not quite what I originally envisioned, but I'm still amazed that I pulled this off! I wanted to draw his whole body, from antennae to toes, but after several attempts, I came to a realization: I just plain can't draw the guy's legs and feet. So, I got this instead. I still like it. A lot. ^^

And yes, Irkens have bright green blood. Some people draw him with red, human-like blood, which bugs me to death, because several times in the show, it's clearly shown as green. But I digress.

Tools: Photoshop 6.0 and an optical mouse. That's it. ^^

Time: Psshh... I'm not sure exactly, but I started it either early yesterday (6-15-05) or late the day before, and I've been working on it on and off since.

Like it says, advanced critique encouraged! (I'm not quite happy with the shadows on Zim's body - anyone care to give me some hints for next time?)
